For a newer and improved veion on my own website, go to A simple ambient light :-) The light source is an Arduino Nano and 6 NeoPixels once again (the cheapest way to make an light source). If you like to know more about these NeoPixels you can visit the AdaFruit website at : I used an example of AdaFruit and modified it a bit. I just want the LED's to slowly change colo. I included the sketch and the AdaFruit library in the ZIP file. Also included a simple wiring diagram. The power supply is a phone charger (at least 1A) The dimeion of this lamp is 90x90x90 mm and printed in green PLA except for the diffuser. The diffuser is printed in tralucent PET-G. I have two types. A flat one and one that is printed using the “spiral outer contour mode”. You can see them side by side in one of the pictures. On this picture you can also see that I did not succeed printing the “spiral outer countour”one without warping. To prevent this more wall laye should be used. But then lesser light will come trough. Although it warped I peonally still like this diffuser. If you print the “spiral outer contour” one you will have to cut out a small peace to make room for the micro USB connector of the Arduino. The flat on is printed as normal and you can decide for youelf how thick. I just used 3 laye, each 0.2mm thick. It's also possible to make the diffuser from other materials like paper etc. Anyways I included pictures with the flat and with the “spiral outer contour”one to show the difference. If you would place this lamp high enough, you don't need a diffuser at all. The only reason I made diffuse is to prevent that the LED's shine directly into your eyes. Green PLA =Printed with a 0.4mm nozzle, 0,2 mm resolution, 3 wall/top/bottom laye If you have any questio, feel free to ask :-) Cotructive comments are welcome also :-)
